Do you install wallpaper provided by the client?
Yes. We are happy to install client‑supplied wallpaper and can also review the material to ensure it is suitable for the space and application.
How do I calculate how many rolls of wallpaper I need to order?
Wallpaper roll estimation depends heavily on the "pattern repeat" of your selected material. For straight or drop matches, a significant amount of material is cut away to line up the pattern perfectly across seams. We highly recommend having a licensed installer measure your space before ordering premium materials like Schumacher, Scalamandré, or Pierre Frey to avoid costly shortages or excessive overages.

Is grasscloth wallpaper suitable for all rooms?
Grasscloth and natural fiber wallpapers are best for low-traffic, dry areas. Because they are made from natural woven materials (like sisal, jute, or bamboo), they are not recommended for high-humidity spaces such as full bathrooms where steam accumulation occurs.
What is "shading" and why are seams visible on natural grasscloth?
Natural grasscloth possesses inherent color variations from strand to strand because it is woven from natural plant fibers. This creates a paneling effect where seams are intentionally visible. An expert installer will "reverse hang" alternating strips to balance out this shading and ensure an elegant, consistent texture across your feature wall.
Wall Preparation & Specialty Master Hangs
Do different wallpaper materials require different wall preparation?
Yes. Some materials, such as grasscloth, murals, and metallic wallpapers, require more extensive wall preparation and priming to achieve the best results.
Can you install wallpaper over textured drywall or existing wallpaper?
Not recommended. For a flawless installation, luxury wallpaper requires a perfectly smooth, clean, and primed surface—especially if the material is a high-gloss, metallic foil, or Mylar wallcovering.
Installing over textured walls causes permanent air bubbles, lumps, and pattern distortions, while installing over old wallpaper compromises the new adhesive layer and causes peeling.
While we provide professional wallpaper removal and high-quality specialty wallcovering primer application, we are not drywall or painting contractors. If your walls require extensive smoothing or professional skim-coating (skimming) to eliminate texture, we will happily recommend one of our trusted, licensed trade partners to execute the drywall preparation before we begin our precision installation process.
How does a professional installer handle delicate hand-painted silk murals?
